A Move is Coming + The Miracle of Forgiveness, Psalm 51 (PART 2)

Christian shares a sense that there is a move happening in the American Church of deep repentance and turning back to the Lord... Addressing the complacency and self-righteousness in our hearts... The last several decades of the church has gone after breaking the strongholds and hypocrisy of religion, and we are moving into a time where a renewed conviction of sin that is free of religion is encountering the holiness of God face-to-face. We need to look at our lives with a fresh sobriety and hunger. This will not be convenient.

This talk will look at the famous Psalm 51 song of David's repentance as we see how the miracle of forgiveness can cure us of the problem of "self", but we must meet the Author of right and wrong face-to-face to get it. The gospel is simply unused power in our lives until it's released through repentance. We all want to change, we all need to change, but the secret is repentance.

The problem with repentance is that we don’t know how to do it because we think we already know how. David's song shows us how.

There are two "Secular Lies" that we address in the process:

-SECULAR LIE #1: PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE

-SECULAR LIE #2: LIE OF SELF (Must "achieve" identity; look inside + break free of external constraints)
